2022 ABP Live Auto Awards: Our hatchback of the year award for this year goes to the Citroen C3, which looks like an advanced car and packs a lot of features into its hatchback styling.
How is the exterior?
The French carmaker has also entered the SUV segment in India with the C5 Aircross, which is a premium mid-size SUV and is doing well in its segment. In the same year, the car company has launched its new offering C3 hatchback, which is becoming very popular among the customers. The new Citroen C3 gets a special design pattern, which looks similar to the C5 Aircross, with Y-shaped front LED DRLs, headlights and fog lamps. To give it a more rough and tough feel, it gets a faux skid plate at the front and rear as well as blacked-out cladding on the sides. The rear end of the car comes with a clean design. Where C-shaped LED taillights have been given with the logo of Citroën.

Its interiors get the largest in its segment 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The dashboard of the C3 hatchback has been redesigned to give a more modern vibe to its cabin. Talking about its performance, the new Citroen C3 has been given 1.2-liter NA petrol and 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine. In this, the option of 5-speed automatic and 6-speed manual gearbox has been given for transmission. In terms of performance, both the turbo engines offer decent power, which has impressed us a lot. The gearbox has been tuned very well and offers very smooth shifts. The car remains very stable while driving on corners as well. Its suspension and excellent ground clearance also scored well against other hatchbacks.
How much is the price?
The price of the Citroen hatchback starts at Rs. 5.88 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 8.15 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi. The all-new Citroen C3 is a good looking attractive car, which comes with powerful engine options. Its capabilities and the way it performed well in our road conditions earned it our ‘Hatchback of the Year’ winner.
